Per Diem Pharmacist in Wichita Falls, TX

Provide critical pharmaceutical care as a Staff Pharmacist in a closed-door setting attached to a behavioral hospital. This per diem opportunity offers flexible vacation coverage and PTO support within a Monday to Friday schedule. Handle a manageable prescription volume of 300-400 scripts per day, focusing primarily on inpatient needs with minimal walk-ins.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients in accordance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Manage prescription orders, review for appropriateness, and resolve any discrepancies
• Collaborate with healthcare staff in the behavioral hospital to ensure optimal medication management
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within the pharmacy software system
• Support vacation and PTO coverage as part of the PRN schedule

Qualifications/Experience:

• Recent experience working as a pharmacist with current licensure
• Local to the Wichita Falls area or able to commit to per diem or part-time work on a PRN basis
• Willingness to be trained on Enterprise Rx software (training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills suitable for a closed-door behavioral hospital environment

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (per diem shifts as vacancies occur)
