Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Wichita Falls, Texas

A healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support their pharmacy operations in Plano, TX. This per diem position offers flexible, PRN hours within a closed-door pharmacy attached to a behavioral hospital, handling approximately 300-400 prescriptions daily. The environment features limited walk-ins, focusing primarily on patient care related to the behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide pharmaceutical care to patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy management.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.
• Utilize Enterprise RX software for prescription processing and documentation (training provided).
• Manage medication inventory and ensure appropriate storage conditions.
• Provide patient counseling and education as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Recent experience as a licensed pharmacist.
• Familiarity with prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations.
• Local candidates preferred, particularly those interested in per diem or part-time work.
• Willingness to learn and train on Enterprise RX software.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
