Staff Pharmacist in Winston-Salem, NC

A Specialty Retail pharmacy in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers hands-on practice in both sterile and non-sterile compounding, supporting patient care within a focused pharmacy setting. The position operates Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, including a one-hour lunch break, over a 13-week period with potential for direct hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding according to pharmacy standards
• Manage order entry using PK software (training provided)
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and pharmacy policies
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain a safe, efficient work environment

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina pharmacy license
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding highly desirable
• Ability to learn and utilize PK order entry system
• Strong attention to detail and patient-focused approach

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break
