A Per Diem pharmacist position is available within a clinic setting serving a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The role focuses on managing daily retail pharmacy operations, including supervision of pharmacy technicians, interns, and students. The pharmacist will verify and dispense medications and Durable Medical Equipment (DME), provide patient and staff education, and ensure the integrity of patient assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DURs), counsel patients, supervise dispensing processes, and promote safe medication use and adherence.
  • Maintain compliance and oversight of 340B/ADAP program integrity and ensure secure storage of medications.
  • Manage POS systems, inventory control, prescription records, and workflow within the retail pharmacy.
  • Document patient encounters in the EHR, handle telephone communications, apply standing orders, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Support training efforts for pharmacy technicians, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and assist with other mission-related duties as required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • Current Montana pharmacy license.
  • Previous retail pharmacy experience is required.
  • Experience within an FQHC environment and familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system are preferred.

Schedule and Location:

  • Clinic-based position.
  • Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (10-hour shifts).
  • Location: Worden, MT.
