Staff Pharmacist - Wyoming, MI

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist with experience in long-term care, including PV1 and PV2 responsibilities. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with an ongoing part-time schedule, providing a chance to work in a dynamic pharmacy environment.

Location: Wyoming, MI
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing part-time
Shift: Mix of days and evenings with rotating weekends
Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive long-term care pharmacy duties, including PV1 and PV2 tasks
• Supervise and coordinate activities of pharmacy technicians
• Manage multi-dose and blister packing processes
• Prepare, check, and verify sterile (IVs, TPNs) and non-sterile compounded medications
• Utilize the Frameworks system; prior experience preferred but training available

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
• Proven experience in long-term care pharmacy, including hands-on compounding and verifying sterile and non-sterile medications
• Familiarity with PV1 and PV2 roles and responsibilities
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Experience with Frameworks system is highly preferred
