Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active certification as a Radiation Therapist from an accredited program.
• Proven previous experience in administering radiation therapy.
• Elekta equipment experience strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of radiation safety procedures and quality assurance standards.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, clinical physicists, and other specialists.
• Exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or instructing students is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by physicians, ensuring treatments align with individualized patient plans.
• Calibrate and operate therapy equipment, including data entry and regulation of dosage controls.
• Prepare treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and technical staff based on patients’ anatomy and condition.
• Construct customized patient immobilization devices as directed.
• Accurately maintain records regarding treatments, dosage, equipment settings, and patient responses.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure equipment is ready and safe for each session.
• Consistently utilize protective gear and procedures, maintaining compliance with safety regulations for patients and staff.
• Conduct and document quality assurance checks according to state and federal guidelines.
• Help onboard and evaluate student radiation therapists through clinical instruction.
