Radiation Therapist in Batavia, IA

A skilled professional with expertise in radiation therapy is needed for a contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone experienced in providing compassionate care and technical precision to patients undergoing radiation treatment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, daytime hours
• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• 40 hours weekly
• 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Proficiency in administering radiation therapy treatments and managing patient care
• Hands-on experience operating Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery equipment
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 22-24 patients per day with attention to detail and time management
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to patient safety and comfort
• Certification or licensure as required by state or national governing boards

Key Duties:

• Deliver accurate and effective radiation therapy to patients, in accordance with prescribed treatment plans
• Prepare and position patients for procedures using Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery systems
• Maintain precise documentation of treatments and monitor patients for side effects or changes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, and fellow healthcare staff to ensure the best outcomes
• Uphold all safety protocols and infection-control standards in the radiation therapy suite
