Radiation Therapist in Belvidere, IL

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm (hours may be flexible based on patient needs)

Key Experience & Qualifications:

• Current radiation therapy certification from ARRT and IEMA (required)
• Illinois License (must be active at time of submission)
• Demonstrated experience working in mid- to large-sized hospital settings
• Proficient in operating 2 linear accelerators: Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE
• Familiarity with ARIA record and verify system; readiness to learn version 18.1 upon upgrade
• Able to handle 64–68 patients daily across two treatment units
• Capable of working independently and efficiently multitasking
• Commitment to patient-centered care with high professional standards
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility

Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately administer radiation therapy in accordance with physician directives
• Monitor, document, and assess patient reactions to treatment and provide appropriate support
• Manage daily treatment schedules while upholding clinical protocols and time management
• Maintain precise records through ARIA system and adapt to new software updates
• Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology nurses to deliver top-notch patient care
