Radiation Therapist | Belvidere, Illinois

Step into a pivotal role delivering high-quality patient care as a Radiation Therapist within a dynamic cancer center. Manage a fast-paced workload, treating 64-68 patients each day with the support of two state-of-the-art Varian linear accelerators (TrueBeam and EDGE). Independence, efficient multitasking, and seamless adaptation to new technology are essential as you navigate clinic operations and contribute to exceptional clinical outcomes.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Clinic hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm (hours may vary based on patient volumes for flexibility)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments using advanced Varian equipment.
• Accurately utilize ARIA record and verify system, with preparation for an upgrade to v18.1.
• Collaborate with the cancer center team while effectively working independently.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Support a high-volume patient schedule while prioritizing safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Radiation Therapist license (must be obtained prior to start).
• Current certification from ARRT and IEMA.
• Demonstrated experience serving in mid to large-size hospital settings.
• Proficiency operating linear accelerators, including Varian TrueBeam and EDGE.
• Familiarity with ARIA system and adaptability to technology upgrades.
• Comfortable working under high patient volumes.
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the specified location.
