Deliver essential patient care in a dynamic radiation oncology clinic, supporting individuals undergoing radiation therapy. This contract opportunity requires a radiation therapist ready to serve in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality treatments with attention to both detail and compassion. With two active treatment units and a high daily patient census, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and adept at managing multiple priorities.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract hours (clinic closure days for holidays not counted toward guaranteed hours)

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy
  • Certified as a Radiation Therapist by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) certification required
  • Prior experience in mid-to-large hospital or oncology settings preferred
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and deliver care in a busy clinic
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation treatments, ensuring accuracy and patient safety throughout all procedures
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and medical physicists to review treatment plans and maintain high standards of clinical practice
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated radiation therapy equipment and patient records
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism
  • Monitor patient responses and adapt techniques as needed to optimize outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards at all times
