Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent required)
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering external beam radiation treatments
  • Proficient in operating linear accelerators and associated equipment
  • Solid understanding of radiation safety and dosing protocols
  • Ability to interpret physician orders and treatment plans
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong documentation skills
  • Effective communication abilities for working with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Compassionate and patient-centered care approach
  • Current BLS certification preferred

Schedule/Hours:

  • Consistent weekday schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, position, and administer radiation therapy as prescribed by radiation oncologists
  • Accurately calibrate, operate, and maintain radiation therapy equipment
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any concerns or changes in condition
  • Maintain precise and timely treatment records, documenting each session's details
  • Uphold strict safety standards to protect patients, visitors, and staff from unnecessary exposure
  • Educate patients about procedures, providing reassurance and answering questions
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance, safety, and improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes
