Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • State licensure as required for practice
  • Demonstrated experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Expertise in operating linear accelerators and applying radiation safety protocols
  • Strong patient communication and education skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and treatment planning software
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients according to established protocols
  • Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to ensure optimal treatment delivery
  • Prepare and accurately position patients for treatment, maintaining comfort and safety
  • Monitor patient responses and report changes or adverse reactions to the medical team
  • Perform daily equipment checks, routine quality assurance, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of all patient care and procedures
