Radiation Therapist - Berryville, VA

Step into a vital role supporting cancer patients through precision radiation therapy. As a skilled Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for the daily administration of treatments, directly impacting patient outcomes and quality of care. This contract position requires technical expertise and a compassionate approach in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Virginia Radiation Therapist license (required for submission)
• Proficiency with Truebeam and Halcyon, as well as Aria for Record/Verify systems
• Demonstrated skills in delivering safe and effective radiation therapy
• Previous experience supporting brachytherapy procedures strongly preferred
• Ability to assist in treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Strong critical thinking skills for triaging ill patients to nursing evaluation
• Experience in clinical instruction for radiation therapy students is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate, physician-prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients
• Interpret and implement the daily treatment plan, adapting to any changes based on oncologist guidance
• Perform simulations and document procedures according to institutional protocols
• Support Brachytherapy and complex oncology workflows as an integral team member
• Contribute to treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry calculations
• Act as a clinical resource for students and team members within the department
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process
