Radiation Therapist - Berryville, VA

Advance your career as a skilled Radiation Therapist, working within a dynamic oncology department utilizing the latest Truebeam and Halcyon technology, alongside Aria for Record and Verify. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering precise, compassionate daily care for cancer patients in coordination with radiation oncologists.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (5x8-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely according to physician directives.
• Utilize advanced radiation therapy equipment, including Truebeam and Halcyon systems.
• Accurately document treatment delivery and patient progress using Aria for Record and Verify.
• Participate in simulations, treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry procedures.
• Assist with Brachytherapy procedures as required by the department.
• Triage and refer ill patients to nursing personnel for prompt evaluation.
• Serve as a knowledgeable mentor for radiation therapy students during clinical instruction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and active Virginia license in Radiation Therapy required at the time of application.
• Proven recent experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with advanced radiotherapy technology (Truebeam, Halcyon) and Aria software.
• Strong understanding of oncology patient care and safety protocols.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional growth.

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
