Radiation Therapist - Chapel Hill, NC

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care by administering radiation therapy treatments in alignment with physician directives and patient-specific treatment plans. This position requires a skilled professional capable of handling both routine and complex radiation procedures, ensuring safe and accurate delivery of care to each patient.

Schedule:

• Clinic operates between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s); specific shift timing will be discussed during the interview process.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in Radiation Therapy as a Radiation Therapist.
• Knowledge and understanding of Elekta equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow physician instructions and translate treatment plans into effective radiation delivery.
• Strong attention to detail for data entry and treatment accuracy.
• Commitment to patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.
• Willingness to educate and mentor student therapists in clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments safely and in accordance with established practices.
• Enter data, set controls, and adjust equipment to deliver precise dosages.
• Support physicians, physicists, and the clinical team in preparing and reviewing treatment plans.
• Construct immobilization devices according to physician orders.
• Maintain accurate patient and treatment records per department protocols.
• Ensure proper use of protective measures for patients and staff.
• Perform quality assurance on all equipment as required by regulations.
• Provide hands-on clinical instruction for student radiation therapists.

$2,057 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
