Radiation Therapist - Chicago, Illinois

An opportunity is available for an experienced Radiation Therapist in Chicago, IL, working a weekday day shift as part of a dedicated therapy team. This contract position involves delivering high-quality radiation therapy to patients using advanced Varian Trilogy linear accelerator equipment, with documentation in Aria and Epic EMRs. The role supports a department staffed by two full-time radiation therapists, focusing solely on weekdays with no weekend or call requirements.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• No weekend shifts
• No call requirements

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the State of IL IEMA Division
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiation Therapist, holding R.T. (R)(ARRT) credentials
• Experience operating Varian Trilogy linear accelerators and using ARIA software required
• Proficiency with Aria and Epic EMRs
• Commitment to wearing grey scrub color as specified

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, accurate radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed
• Operate Varian Trilogy linear accelerator and perform QA procedures as needed
• Accurately document all procedures in Aria and Epic EMRs
• Collaborate closely with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, nurses, and fellow therapists
• Maintain compliance with all applicable standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate compassionate, professional patient care and effective communication with the care team
