In this vital role, you will collaborate with oncology professionals to deliver state-of-the-art radiation treatments, ensuring compassionate care and precision for every patient.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy
- Valid and active licensure as required by the state of Florida
- Previous experience in radiation therapy, ideally in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach
- High attention to detail, organizational abilities, and technical proficiency with radiation therapy equipment
Schedule:
- Full-time, permanent role
- Monday through Friday schedule; no weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy under the supervision of oncologists
- Review treatment plans, verify machine settings, and perform quality assurance checks before each session
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, side effects, and post-therapy care
- Maintain precise documentation and patient records in accordance with facility standards
- Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, and the broader oncology team
- Adhere to all safety procedures and infection control protocols, providing support and comfort to patients throughout their treatment journey
