Radiation Therapist in Dekalb, IL

This contract opportunity allows you to independently deliver high-quality patient care utilizing two linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE) in a modern, fast-paced environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm (flexible based on patient volume)
• 13-week contract

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Radiation Therapy certification from ARRT and IEMA (required)
• Active Illinois license required at the time of application
• Demonstrated experience in mid-to-large hospital environments
• Proficient in using ARIA record and verify; experience with version upgrades is a plus
• Ability to independently manage a high patient volume (64–68 patients per day) and multi-task with efficiency
• Must live at least 60 miles away from the facility
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer safe and precise radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions
• Operate and maintain Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE linear accelerators
• Accurately document treatment records in the ARIA system and adapt to upgrades (v18.1)
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members to ensure optimal patient care
• Deliver compassionate support and clear instructions to patients throughout their treatment
