Contribute your expertise in radiation therapy and make an impact at a busy cancer center equipped with the latest technology. In this contract role, you’ll play a vital part in providing quality care to a diverse patient population while working with advanced equipment and a high volume of daily treatments.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday, between 7:00am and 5:30pm
- Flexible hours, adjusted according to patient volumes
What You'll Do:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to 64-68 patients daily, operating independently in a fast-paced environment
- Utilize two state-of-the-art linear accelerators: Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE
- Ensure all treatment procedures are properly documented in the ARIA record and verify system (upgrading to v18.1 soon)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, adapting to new protocols and supporting continuous patient care improvements
- Maintain high safety standards and comply with all regulatory and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Radiation Therapist certification from ARRT and IEMA (required)
- Current Illinois license (must be in hand prior to starting)
- Experience working in mid- to large-sized hospitals
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently multitask
- Familiarity with ARIA software and advanced linear accelerator equipment
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius
