Key Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
  • Demonstrated experience working as a radiation therapist in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Proficiency with radiation therapy equipment, safety protocols, and accurate patient positioning
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures for patients, staff, and self
  • Excellent communication skills, with a compassionate approach when interacting with patients and families
  • Attention to detail and ability to precisely follow treatment plans and physician instructions

Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
  • Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment
  • Monitor patient reactions to treatments, reporting changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Maintain meticulous treatment records and comply with patient confidentiality regulations
  • Assist with simulation procedures and imaging as required for treatment planning
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and dosimetrists to maintain a safe and effective patient care workflow
