An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in Radiation Therapy as a Dosimetrist to provide essential services at a specialized cancer facility on a locum tenens basis. This assignment requires a proven expert ready for an immediate start with strong knowledge and clinical acumen in the field of radiation oncology.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification is required.
  • Active or in-process New York license (must be able to obtain/verify quickly).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Dosimetrist in a clinical setting.
  • Recent experience working with Elekta, Varian, TrueBeam, and Mosaiq systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments.
  • No new graduates will be considered for this role; seasoned professionals only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to accurately design and calculate patient-specific radiation treatment plans.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of treatment planning systems and imaging techniques for optimal patient care.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to workflow efficiency and high-quality care in a fast-paced cancer treatment environment.
