An established cancer facility is seeking an experienced Dosimetrist for a locum tenens assignment. Immediate interviews are available, and the ideal candidate will be able to start promptly. This position calls for a professional with a strong background in radiation therapy treatment planning, who can collaborate effectively with oncologists and radiation therapists.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Assignment is for a locum role with immediate start.

Qualifications:

  • Active or in-process New York state license (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent, relevant experience as a Dosimetrist
  • ARRT certification required
  • Proficiency with Mosaiq, Elekta, Varian, and TrueBeam systems preferred
  • Prior locum tenens experience is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Not available for new graduates

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize radiation therapy treatment plans for cancer patients
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, and other care team members to ensure safe and accurate delivery of patient care
  • Operate and troubleshoot advanced radiation oncology systems
  • Ensure treatment plans comply with all safety regulations and clinical protocols
  • Document treatment planning data in the electronic medical record system
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and procedures in radiation oncology
