A leading cancer treatment facility is seeking an experienced Dosimetrist skilled in Radiation Therapy for a locum tenens role. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, can adapt quickly to new environments, and is ready for an immediate start. The position requires proficiency in treatment planning, collaborating closely with medical teams, and ensuring optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience as a Dosimetrist; recent locum experience preferred
- ARRT certification required
- Active or in-process New York State license is mandatory
- Proficiency with Mosaiq, Elekta, Varian, and TrueBeam systems highly desirable
- In-depth understanding of advanced treatment planning and radiation dose calculations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- No new graduates; experienced professionals only
Responsibilities:
- Create and review complex radiation treatment plans for oncology patients
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other staff to ensure accurate dosing and effective therapy
- Operate and oversee use of key technology systems (Mosaiq, Elekta, Varian, and TrueBeam)
- Optimize plans for safety, compliance, and efficacy in accordance with best practices and protocols
- Document treatment data and participate in multi-disciplinary case discussions
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards
