Radiation Therapist - Fitchburg, MA

Contribute your expertise in radiation therapy to an established healthcare team, providing high-quality care to oncology patients. This contract opportunity focuses on the safe and effective delivery of radiation treatment, with a Monday through Friday day shift schedule (5x8s) and no weekends or holidays required. You’ll primarily be working on accelerators, with an emphasis on True Beam Linear Accelerator technology.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Day Shift (8 hours each day)
• No weekends or holidays

Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts radiation therapy license required at time of application
• Certification in BLS and ARRT (T)
• Minimum of one year of radiation therapy experience
• True Beam Linear Accelerator experience preferred
• Flexibility to float to nearby campuses (primarily University, but may rotate to Memorial, Fitchburg, and Marlborough)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and established protocols
• Operate and monitor advanced radiologic equipment, with a focus on accelerator systems
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all phases of treatment
• Accurately document patient sessions and maintain treatment records
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the oncology care team
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist with minor troubleshooting and patient positioning procedures

$2,838 - $2,992/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
