Seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to support adult oncology patients in a well-equipped outpatient radiation oncology setting. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday schedule—7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.—with no weekends, on-call, or holiday shifts, providing a consistent work-life balance.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience operating Varian True Beam and Aria systems, with proficiency in administering radiation treatments via linear accelerators. Preferred skills include experience with DIBH and SBRT techniques. Certification requirements include ARRT in Radiation Therapy and current BLS certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments to adult patients with various cancer diagnoses
- Operate and maintain two linear accelerators efficiently and safely
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team comprising lead therapists, other therapists, providers, nursing staff, and leadership
- Utilize Aria EMR system for documentation and treatment planning
- Maintain treatment schedules, adapting to patient volume without floating to other units
- Participate in orientation lasting up to one week, tailored to comfort level
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and BLS required
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Varian True Beam and Aria systems
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to treat 20-45 patients daily with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Cooperative team attitude in a supportive departmental environment
- Capable of wearing any solid color scrubs as per facility guidelines
