Radiation therapists dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and operating in fast-paced cancer centers will find this contract opportunity both challenging and rewarding. In this role, you’ll be a vital team member working with two state-of-the-art linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE) and adapting swiftly to technology upgrades, including a transition to ARIA v18.1. The environment supports caring for a high-volume caseload, typically managing 64-68 patients daily, across two treatment units.
Schedule:
- 13-week contract
- Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm (flexible hours depending on daily patient volume)
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois license for radiation therapy (in hand at time of application)
- Certification from both ARRT and IEMA in Radiation Therapy
- Minimum of recent experience working independently in mid- to large-size hospitals or cancer centers
- Proven ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy while serving a high patient volume
- Proficiency operating Varian TrueBeam and EDGE linear accelerators
- Experience with ARIA record and verify system; familiarity with version upgrades is a plus
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility location
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols
- Accurately document patient care and treatment outcomes in ARIA
- Participate in quality assurance activities and support ongoing process improvements
- Adapt to new technology and support the smooth transition to ARIA v18.1
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality
