Radiation Therapist | Front Royal, Virginia

Deliver the highest standard of patient care in a dynamic Radiation Therapy environment, utilizing advanced technologies including Truebeam and Halcyon systems with Aria for record/verify functionality. This contract opportunity offers the chance to contribute meaningfully alongside a dedicated oncology care team.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (5x8’s)

What you’ll need:

• Valid and current Virginia Radiation Therapist license (must have at submission)
• Experience with Truebeam and Halcyon equipment
• Proficiency with Aria for record/verify processes
• Solid background in providing accurate and safe radiation treatments under physician direction
• Expertise in simulation and assisting with treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Preparedness to provide clinical instruction to radiation therapy students when needed
• Familiarity with Brachytherapy procedures and ability to assist as required
• Strong ability to triage sick patients and coordinate with nursing staff for evaluations
• Effective communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Key responsibilities:

• Interpret and precisely administer physician-prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients
• Operate specialized equipment for treatment delivery and simulation
• Provide guidance and clinical insight to students in the department
• Support the radiation oncology team in Brachytherapy preparations and procedures
• Assist with treatment planning, focusing on accuracy and patient safety
• Monitor patient status, triage acute needs, and partner with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
