Radiation Therapist - Front Royal, VA

This contract opportunity involves working with leading technology such as Truebeam and Halcyon linear accelerators and using Aria for record and verification, ensuring the highest quality standards in patient treatment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

Key Qualifications:

• Current, valid Virginia Radiation Therapist license (required upon submission)
• Proven experience operating Truebeam and Halcyon equipment
• Proficiency with Aria for record and verify processes
• Strong background in delivering precise radiation therapy to oncology patients
• Ability to participate during Brachytherapy procedures
• Experience mentoring or providing clinical instruction to radiation therapy students is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily radiation treatments accurately following physicians’ prescriptions and protocols
• Interpret treatment plans and ensure precise machine setup for each patient
• Support simulations and assist with treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry
• Triage and refer patients in need of immediate care to nursing staff for evaluation
• Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to maintain high clinical standards
• Contribute to a positive experience for patients and their families, prioritizing comfort and clear communication

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
