Radiation Therapist - Hedrick, Iowa

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in Radiation Therapy. This position involves working with advanced equipment, including Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery, to deliver high-quality care to patients receiving radiation treatments.

Schedule:

• 13-week assignment
• Monday to Friday, daytime shifts (5 x 8-hour shifts)
• 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Proficiency with Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery systems
• Exceptional attention to safety protocols and patient care standards
• Ability to manage a patient volume of approximately 22-24 treatments per day
• Current licensure as required for practice

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, medical physicists, and other allied health professionals to ensure precise treatment planning and delivery
• Monitor patient reactions and provide supportive care throughout the treatment process
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with facility and regulatory policies
• Ensure the safe, efficient operation of radiation therapy equipment through regular quality checks and adherence to maintenance protocols
• Foster a compassionate, reassuring environment for patients undergoing therapy
