Radiation Therapist in Hialeah, FL

Deliver specialized care as a Radiation Therapist within a dynamic Radiation Oncology department serving patients with professionalism and compassion. This 16-week contract role calls for a talented professional well-versed in radiation therapy procedures and patient-focused service. Please note: candidates residing in Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach counties are not eligible for consideration.

Schedule:

• Varies, five 8-hour shifts each week
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required, though not regularly

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists
• Prepare, operate, and calibrate radiation equipment in accordance with safety standards
• Assess and monitor patient reactions throughout treatment, providing support and guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, doses, and patient records
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physicists, and other healthcare staff
• Ensure all protocols and policies are strictly followed within the Radiation Oncology department

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Florida State License for Radiation Therapy (must be active through the entire assignment)
• ARRT (RTT) registered technologist in Radiation Therapy
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Graduation diploma or transcript from an accredited Radiation Therapy program (diploma/transcript required for submission)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Demonstrated expertise in following precise instructions and maintaining safety procedures
