Radiation Therapist - Leominster, MA

Seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist with a strong clinical background in delivering quality patient care. This contract opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. The ideal candidate will have direct experience operating linear accelerators, particularly True Beam technology, and will demonstrate adaptability in a multi-site environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 5x8s Day shift
• No weekends or holidays

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Radiation Therapist license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Certification in BLS and ARRT (T) required
• Previous experience with True Beam – Linear Accelerator strongly preferred
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and effective radiation therapy treatments, ensuring accurate setup and patient positioning
• Operate and maintain linear accelerators (with focus on True Beam units)
• Monitor patient responses and document treatment outcomes following established protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
• Float as needed between multiple sites, with primary responsibilities at the University campus and potential coverage at Fitchburg, Memorial, and Marlborough locations
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control guidelines, and departmental policies
• Dress in either scrubs or business casual attire with a lab coat as appropriate for clinical areas
