Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- State of Illinois IEMA licensure required
- Previous experience delivering radiation therapy in medium to large hospital environments
- Strong ability to manage a high daily patient flow efficiently
- Familiarity and competency with Varian Edge/Aria treatment systems
- Effective communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation treatments according to established protocols and physician prescriptions
- Operate and maintain sophisticated radiation therapy equipment with precision and safety
- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and other oncology team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Accurately verify patient identification and treatment area before procedures
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide compassionate support to patients undergoing therapy, addressing questions and concerns
