Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification in Radiation Therapy from ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Valid Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Radiation accreditation
- Demonstrated background in independent workflow and adaptability in fast-paced settings
- Prior experience in mid-sized or larger hospitals strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Schedule:
- Contract role with typical clinic hours
- Clinic closure during recognized holidays; holiday closures are not included in guaranteed hour calculations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise radiation treatments, adhering to physicians’ protocols and ensuring patient safety
- Operate and maintain two advanced radiation treatment units, following stringent protocols
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary oncology team to coordinate patient care
- Educate and support patients throughout their treatment experience, answering questions and providing reassurance
- Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Contribute to a positive and efficient environment focused on quality oncology care
