Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience working as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting
- In-depth knowledge of treatment planning, patient positioning, and radiation safety
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following established protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation treatments following physician orders and established protocols
- Accurately position patients and operate specialized equipment during therapy sessions
- Monitor patients throughout each session for signs of adverse reactions and provide appropriate support
- Document treatment details and patient progress in medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to support individualized care plans
- Perform regular quality control checks and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
