Radiation Therapist | Machesney Park, Illinois

Seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to provide patient-centered care in a busy clinic-based radiation oncology environment. The position involves working with two treatment units and caring for a daily caseload of approximately 64-68 patients. Work independently and demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities in a collaborative clinical team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, contract role
• Clinic closure days for holidays will not be counted toward guaranteed hours

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Radiation Therapy from ARRT
• Current IEMA licensure
• Proven experience with Varian Edge/Aria systems
• Background in mid- to large-size hospital or oncology center settings
• Ability to function independently and coordinate efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Operate and maintain Varian Edge/Aria radiation delivery equipment
• Monitor patient responses, manage treatment schedules, and document records accurately
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Uphold clinic policies for infection control and radiation safety
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements and best practices in radiation oncology
