Take on a rewarding contract position as a Radiation Therapist supporting an established radiation oncology team. This opportunity is ideal for a professional skilled in delivering high-quality treatments using advanced technology and compassionate patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • No weekends
  • No call requirements

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Illinois (IEMA division)
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), credentialed as R.T. (R)(ARRT)
  • Prior experience operating Varian Trilogy linear accelerators is required
  • Competence in ARIA and Epic EMR systems
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a day shift team of dedicated therapists
  • Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
  • Professional, adaptable, and detail-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately plan and administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients using the Varian Trilogy linear accelerator
  • Maintain meticulous documentation within ARIA and Epic EMR systems
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to ensure safe, effective patient care
  • Perform routine equipment checks and employ strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after treatments
  • Follow clinical best practices and comply with all regulatory requirements
  • Maintain appropriate professional appearance in accordance with departmental guidelines (grey scrubs)
