Radiation Therapist - Orland Park, IL

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• No call requirements
• Weekends off

Key Experience and Qualifications:

• Current licensure by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) as a Radiation Therapist
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiation Therapist (R.T. (R) (ARRT))
• Demonstrated experience with Varian Trilogy linear accelerators
• Proficient use of ARIA and Epic EMR systems
• Previous experience in a setting with at least two full-time Radiation Therapists on staff is preferred
• Comfortable working within standard protocols, including required grey scrub attire

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and safe radiation therapy, following physician prescriptions and established protocols
• Operate and maintain the Varian Trilogy linear accelerator to the highest performance standards
• Accurately document patient records and treatment delivery using ARIA and Epic EMRs
• Collaborate closely with a team of certified therapists to monitor patient progress and ensure optimal treatment outcomes
• Uphold regulatory compliance in all therapy activities and quality assurance procedures
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, providing guidance and support throughout the treatment process
