Radiation Therapist in Orland Park, IL

Seeking an experienced professional in radiation therapy to support patient care initiatives at a busy center. This contract role features weekday, daytime hours, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Schedule:

• Shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Monday through Friday
• No weekends or on-call requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Current licensure by the State of Illinois IEMA division as a Radiation Therapist
• Certification as a registered Radiation Therapist, R.T. (T)(ARRT)
• Experience working with Varian Trilogy linear accelerators
• Familiarity with Aria and Epic EMR systems
• Ability to wear grey scrubs per department policy
• Strong patient communication and team collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality radiation therapy treatments utilizing the Varian Trilogy linear accelerator
• Collaborate closely with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, and fellow therapists to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments using Aria and Epic electronic medical records
• Monitor patients' physical and psychological well-being throughout their course of treatment
• Implement safety standards and protocols as set by clinical leadership and regulatory requirements
