Radiation Therapist - Ottumwa, IA

Requirements:

• Must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer
• Valid certification and/or registration as a Radiation Therapist
• Previous clinical experience in radiation therapy strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety procedures and treatment protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Dedication to patient-centered care and the ability to work well under pressure
• Familiarity with current electronic medical record systems is a plus

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, contract schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients in accordance with physician orders
• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment safely and efficiently
• Accurately document treatments and maintain thorough patient records
• Monitor patients’ physical and emotional responses to treatments and provide compassionate support
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to protocols for patient identification, treatment accuracy, and radiation safety
