Radiation Therapist - Overland Park, Kansas

Advance your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact in patient care as a dedicated Radiation Therapist. This dynamic opportunity offers a 13-week assignment, working closely with patients and a high-performing oncology team to deliver precise and compassionate radiation treatments.

Schedule:

• 5 x 8-hour shifts
• Days, Monday through Friday
• 7:30am – 4:00pm

Preferred Background & Licensing:

• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT(T) credential required
• Valid Radiation Therapy license in KS
• Thorough understanding of modern radiation therapy techniques, patient safety protocols, and treatment planning
• Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and professionalism in patient interaction

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by oncology physicians
• Operate linear accelerators and maintain quality assurance standards for equipment
• Ensure patient well-being, provide clear instructions before, during, and after treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to create patient-specific care plans
• Maintain accurate treatment records and adherence to regulatory requirements
• Educate patients and families on procedures, possible side effects, and aftercare
