Advance your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact in patient care as a dedicated Radiation Therapist. This dynamic opportunity offers a 13-week assignment, working closely with patients and a high-performing oncology team to deliver precise and compassionate radiation treatments.
Schedule:
- 5 x 8-hour shifts
- Days, Monday through Friday
- 7:30am – 4:00pm
Preferred Background & Licensing:
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT(T) credential required
- Valid Radiation Therapy license in KS
- Thorough understanding of modern radiation therapy techniques, patient safety protocols, and treatment planning
- Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and professionalism in patient interaction
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by oncology physicians
- Operate linear accelerators and maintain quality assurance standards for equipment
- Ensure patient well-being, provide clear instructions before, during, and after treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to create patient-specific care plans
- Maintain accurate treatment records and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and families on procedures, possible side effects, and aftercare
