Radiation Therapist - Penfield, New York

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (8-hour shifts, based on department needs)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Radiation Therapist
• Demonstrated experience in delivering Radiation Therapy, preferably within oncology settings
• Proficiency with Varian equipment and EPIC electronic medical record systems
• Ability to float between Radiation Oncology locations as required
• Strong communication and patient-care skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Precisely administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions
• Prepare and operate sophisticated radiation equipment, ensuring patient safety and accurate dose delivery
• Accurately document patient information and treatment details using EPIC software
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure cohesive patient care
• Monitor patients throughout the treatment process, promptly responding to concerns or side effects
• Maintain a high standard of safety protocols and infection control
• Float to other Radiation Oncology departments as necessary to meet patient and operational needs
