Radiation Therapist in Pittsford, NY

Seeking experienced Radiation Therapy professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in oncology care. This full-time contract opportunity involves providing advanced radiation treatment to cancer patients, delivering safe and precise therapy in a dynamic clinical environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (8-hour shifts, schedule dependent on department needs)
• Guaranteed 40 hours weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation treatments utilizing Varian systems, ensuring consistent accuracy
• Collaborate with team members in the delivery and documentation of patient care through EPIC EMR
• Prepare and position patients for daily treatments, following safety and quality standards
• Monitor patient responses and communicate concerns with radiation oncologists and clinical staff
• Support the clinical workflow, occasionally floating to other Radiation Oncology locations as needed
• Demonstrate professional compassion and technical expertise with patients coping with cancer diagnoses

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT)
• Proven experience in radiation therapy in an oncology setting
• Proficiency with Varian technology and EPIC documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining supportive communication with patients and co-workers
• Ability to safely float to various Radiation Oncology sites as determined by department needs
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to high standards in patient care
