Key Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Valid, current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
• Proven experience operating linear accelerators and associated radiation therapy equipment
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting with attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely under provider directives
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and provide compassionate support throughout treatment
• Position patients accurately to ensure proper dosage and minimize exposure to healthy tissue
• Document treatments, patient responses, and any concerns in the medical record system
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report abnormalities promptly
• Adhere to strict safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized work area and appropriate use of protective devices
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and physicists to optimize patient treatment plans
