Deliver advanced patient care and support cancer treatment outcomes as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract position calls for a licensed professional proficient in operating linear accelerators, with focus on simulation procedures, immobilization techniques, and the safe delivery of targeted radiation therapy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered with ARRT as a RT(T)
  • Licensed as a radiographer in the state of Connecticut
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of hands-on experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Demonstrated expertise in simulation procedures and patient immobilization
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and evidence-based care in a radiation oncology environment

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ work in a comparable role
  • Proficiency with Varian machines and Varian Aria software
  • Experience with Align RT surface motion technology

Responsibilities:

  • Administer accurate radiation treatment using state-of-the-art linear accelerator technology, specifically Varian equipment
  • Collaborate with medical physicists, oncologists, and dosimetrists to plan and deliver high-quality care
  • Operate on-board imaging systems to verify patient positioning and ensure treatment precision
  • Perform patient simulation procedures, following strict immobilization protocols
  • Document each procedure accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
  • Provide clear communication and compassionate support to patients undergoing treatment
