Deliver advanced patient care and support cancer treatment outcomes as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract position calls for a licensed professional proficient in operating linear accelerators, with focus on simulation procedures, immobilization techniques, and the safe delivery of targeted radiation therapy.
Key Qualifications:
- Registered with ARRT as a RT(T)
- Licensed as a radiographer in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of 1.5 years of hands-on experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Demonstrated expertise in simulation procedures and patient immobilization
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and evidence-based care in a radiation oncology environment
Preferred Experience:
- At least 2 years’ work in a comparable role
- Proficiency with Varian machines and Varian Aria software
- Experience with Align RT surface motion technology
Responsibilities:
- Administer accurate radiation treatment using state-of-the-art linear accelerator technology, specifically Varian equipment
- Collaborate with medical physicists, oncologists, and dosimetrists to plan and deliver high-quality care
- Operate on-board imaging systems to verify patient positioning and ensure treatment precision
- Perform patient simulation procedures, following strict immobilization protocols
- Document each procedure accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
- Provide clear communication and compassionate support to patients undergoing treatment
