Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and equipment calibration before each session
- Collaborate closely with physicians, oncology nurses, and medical physicists to develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient responses and report any treatment side effects or complications to the care team promptly
- Uphold strict safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date treatment records and documentation per facility and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families about treatment processes and necessary post-procedure care
- Troubleshoot and assist with equipment operation as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure and/or certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT)
- Previous clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient oncology setting strongly preferred
- Proficient in treatment planning systems and linear accelerator operation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Adherence to all relevant safety and regulatory guidelines
