Qualifications:

• Valid and current Radiation Therapist license or certification
• Demonstrated experience in radiation therapy, including oncology patient care
• Expertise in operating and troubleshooting linear accelerators and related equipment
• Working knowledge of radiation safety protocols and electronic medical records
• Strong communication and patient-relations skills
• Ability to maintain precision in high-pressure clinical environments

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients, following strict physician instructions and dosimetry plans
• Accurately position patients to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and promptly report concerns
• Maintain meticulous treatment documentation in electronic health systems
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
• Provide emotional support and clear explanations to patients and families regarding procedures
• Ensure all radiation safety measures are adhered to for both patients and staff
• Calibrate and verify equipment as required, reporting malfunctions when necessary
