Qualifications:

  • Valid, current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • Vermont state license or registry eligibility for Radiation Therapy.
  • Recent experience (preferably at least one year) operating linear accelerators and related treatment planning technology.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, quality assurance, and charting systems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • CPR certification (required or willingness to obtain).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients following safety regulations and provider orders.
  • Verify treatment plans and machine settings before each procedure.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures, dosages, and patient responses to therapy.
  • Monitor and support patients before, during, and after treatment sessions, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and calibration of radiation equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to optimize patient care and treatment accuracy.
