Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Active certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT)
• State licensure as required
• Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical or hospital setting
• Comprehensive understanding of radiologic equipment, safety protocols, and treatment planning
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for patient interaction and teamwork
• Compassion, professionalism, and excellent organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to accurately treat cancer or other diseases according to the physician’s instructions and protocols
• Prepare and position patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and proper technique
• Operate radiation therapy equipment, calibrate machines, and maintain accurate records of treatments
• Monitor patient responses, report side effects, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures, expectations, and possible side effects
• Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines for both patients and staff
• Document all treatments, observations, and communications in accordance with hospital policies
