Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Radiation Therapist for an oncology assignment in Fort Dodge, Iowa. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled Radiation Therapist dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative oncology setting. As part of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide radiation therapy treatments while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care throughout the treatment process.

Travelers may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately.
• Position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment according to physician treatment plans.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to any concerns.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and expectations.
• Follow radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any issues promptly.

Equipment & Technology

• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active Radiation Therapist license/certification as required by the state of Iowa.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T).
• Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in an oncology setting preferred.
