This full-time radiation therapy assignment presents the chance to work four 8-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays are rarely required, only in emergency situations, so you will have ample downtime to explore Alaska’s spectacular landscapes, hot springs, and vibrant local culture. This assignment enables you to expand your resume with specialized experience and exposure to diverse workplace practices.

Schedule/Hours

  • Full-time, 4 x 8-hour shifts per week
  • Monday – Friday, days
  • Weekend and on-call requirements are rare (only for emergencies)
  • Holiday coverage as needed when clinic is open

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in radiation oncology required
  • Current ARRT certification with radiation therapy registry
  • Prior experience operating simulation and treatment planning equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments per provider orders, utilizing independent judgment and department protocols
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and treatment plans
  • Operate radiation therapy and planning equipment accurately and efficiently
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all patient, family, and colleague interactions
  • Support a collaborative approach for top-quality patient outcomes
