Schedule:
- 4x8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday—day shifts
- Occasional weekend or on-call coverage limited to radiation emergencies (rare, typically outside regular hours)
- Holiday shifts only as needed when the clinic is open
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Accurately verify and implement provider orders, using independent clinical judgment
- Operate simulation and treatment-planning equipment to departmental standards
- Educate patients and families on procedures and expectations, providing compassionate care
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork, driving quality outcomes and efficient resource utilization
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in radiation oncology
- ARRT certification with radiation therapy registry
