Radiation Therapist in Groton, NY

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• No on-call required

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer therapeutic radiation treatments to approximately 20 patients per day, ensuring safety, accuracy, and emotional support throughout each session.
• Operate Varian True Beam equipment proficiently while utilizing Aria and AlignRT systems to maintain best-in-class clinical standards.
• Adhere to prescribed treatment parameters and verify proper patient positioning, documenting procedures in line with departmental protocols.
• Collaborate closely with a dynamic and positive healthcare team, adapting quickly to new environments and seamlessly integrating into daily workflows.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to review plans and confirm treatment accuracy.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist, with demonstrated proficiency on Varian True Beam, Aria, and AlignRT.
• Registered and licensed as required, maintaining all necessary credentials.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and adjust to patient needs in a busy clinical setting.
• Friendly and energetic demeanor, ideally suited for a collaborative, patient-focused atmosphere.
• Comfortable wearing any color scrubs, in line with dress code guidelines.
