Qualifications:

• Registered or certified Radiation Therapist
• Valid, current Radiation Therapy license as required by state regulations
• Completion of accredited Radiation Therapy technology program
• Proven experience operating linear accelerators and related equipment
• Detailed knowledge of radiation safety policies and dosimetry
• Strong communication skills for patient interaction, education, and support
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and other care team members
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification recommended

Responsibilities:

• Administer accurate, physician-prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients
• Review and interpret treatment plans, verifying doses and positioning
• Ensure strict compliance with quality assurance, radiation safety, and infection control protocols
• Monitor patient responses throughout the course of treatment, reporting concerns to physicians and clinical staff
• Document treatments and maintain thorough records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Provide clear explanations and emotional support to patients and families, addressing questions and concerns
• Participate in continuing education and equipment training as necessary
