Radiation Therapist in Henrico, VA

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT)
• Valid state licensure as required for practice
• Experience operating linear accelerators and radiation therapy equipment
• Familiarity with treatment planning systems and safety protocols
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed courses of radiation therapy in accordance with oncologist instructions
• Prepare and position patients accurately for each treatment session
• Monitor patients for reactions and side effects, providing support and reporting changes to physicians
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, performing safety checks daily
• Document treatments, ensuring thorough and accurate patient records
• Adhere to all established safety and infection control regulations
