Schedule/Hours:
- Travel contract position (specific hours determined at placement)
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT preferred)
- Active state licensure in Radiation Therapy or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in radiation therapy, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical knowledge of operating linear accelerators and related equipment
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced or varied clinical environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients as directed by physicians
- Collaborate with oncology teams, providing compassionate support throughout treatment
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiation equipment safely and efficiently
- Document treatment processes with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Educate patients and families on procedures, answering questions and addressing concerns
